The scene quickly grew into chaos and violence, when a mob began attacking the lorry driver and his passenger, and swarming the street around the accident.

I had the fortune during one of my early trips to Sri Lanka to meet a woman who I respected and considered a friend. Let’s call her Miss A.

The wonderful folks over at Vesess, the Sri Lanka-based Web design and development firm that created our site, published a lengthy blog post/interview on their end about working with us, and I must confess it came as a really nice surprise.

I live in Berkeley but I was in Vietnam when the tsunami hit in December 2004. I stayed glued to the television the rest of the trip–holed up in my hotel room in a state of shock.
