I love Sri Lankan food. LOVE it. Spicy. Rice and Curry. Deviled (hot!) fish and pork and calamari. Jack fruit. Here’s a place to try it in Santa Cruz, California.

If I’m lucky, someone who I’ll intersect with will not only feel that, but will also decide to make, a connection with me that’s more personal, and even generative, where projects merge and take new shapes.

I couldn’t be more excited about last night’s election results and the electricity in the air today. America already seems like a new place though the official handoff won’t happen til after the new year.

Is M.I.A. really, in your opinion, endorsing typical LTTE violence or is she telling a different kind of story thru her music? Both?

The scene quickly grew into chaos and violence, when a mob began attacking the lorry driver and his passenger, and swarming the street around the accident.

I read this story and, while I’m sure this happens more than anyone knows, I found it shocking. What are these people going to do?

I had the fortune during one of my early trips to Sri Lanka to meet a woman who I respected and considered a friend. Let’s call her Miss A.

The wonderful folks over at Vesess, the Sri Lanka-based Web design and development firm that created our site, published a lengthy blog post/interview on their end about working with us, and I must confess it came as a really nice surprise.

I live in Berkeley but I was in Vietnam when the tsunami hit in December 2004. I stayed glued to the television the rest of the trip–holed up in my hotel room in a state of shock.
